A fast-growing British pharmaceutical company required a secure data collection system that could be accessed using the cloud. Learn more about the monitoring solutions Wessex Power provided.

Company Background

A fast-growing British pharmaceutical company engaged in the development, manufacture, marketing and distribution of generic medicines in the UK and Europe required laboratory monitoring systems to be installed at multiple locations throughout the United Kingdom, with central data access via the cloud. Most importantly to them, they wanted to have control of their data which is being backed up on servers resident within the premises. At Wessex Power, we provide wireless temperature monitoring solutions that enable companies to centralise their environmental data.

To establish the number and locations of the temperature monitoring points a detailed risk assessment and spatial temperature mapping exercise was undertaken by Wessex Power. Stability, set-point deviations and threshold excursions were analysed and locations for fixed sensors robustly identified.

The Solution

Operators will have mobile devices and read-only access privileges, which will trigger audio visual alerts (local to the operator) in the event of a temperature excursion.

Quality personnel will be able to gather data from multiple sensors, locations, time lines and generate performance analysis using installed pharmaceutical validation solution software tied to the cloud or server storage locations.

The laboratory temperature monitoring system was installed, validated and tied up with an SLA contract to ensure long term compliance with URS/PQ functionality including on-site calibration.
