Site Wide Centralized LAN Based Datalogging Solutions from Elpro

Our Swiss partner, Elpro have been especially industrious of late and have released details of a highly capable centralized monitoring system. By integrating Ecolog-NET with elproLOG they have realized a system capable of monitoring many applications simultaneously with one system. For example within a plant you may monitor:

• Various storage locations: +15°C to +20°C / etc
• Cold storage: +2°C to +8°C / - 22°C / etc
• Special low temperature - 86°C / cryo: -196°C / etc
• Climate: Temperature and Humidity
• Various: Pressure, Differential Pressure, CO2 / etc

The versatility of the Elpro system allows a complex system to be designed, configured and installed to the exact customer specification, in addition the system may easily be expanded if, in the future, requirements change. Sensors are connected to the Ecolog-NET dataloggers; these in turn are connected to a LAN by either a hardwired connection or a Wireless connection to a wireless LAN central access point. Local alarms are provided for by utilizing the integrated alarm outputs of the Ecolog-NET dataloggers. Once the data is available on the LAN it is also available for remote access anywhere via the internet, whilst a local PC can overview the entire system and provide centralized functions such as watchdog, data storage, retrieval, presentation etc. In addition a further alarm interface provides warnings via Email, Fax, SMS and telephone. Elpro have also just released software version 3.31 which allows data from up to 16 sensors to be overlaid from the Hotbox range (Hotbox Pro & Hotbox SE)
