A) A reliable, expandable system, proven quality, with a Turnkey
solution
Solution:
The task in hand was to monitor continuously temperature and humidity throughout a warehouse area exceeding 200M2.
The warehouse is fully automated with mechanical robots picking product.
The whole area is mechanically highly dense with virtually every available centimetre of space used.
Initially, we conducted a temperature “map”. Some 00’s of miniature data loggers were positioned at 5 metre intervals, both horizontally and vertically throughout. The loggers were left for a week and a report compiled.
From the report it was possible to identify the quantity of finally positioned radio loggers.
The MHRA regulations require that temperatures are monitored at regular intervals, recorded and archived. Recorded data may need to be referred to for years after.
Our Genll system was selected as an ideal solution additionally giving warning of any out-of-range readings in user selected zones. Alarms despatched to a central point, relayed to PC’s and SMS text messages to selected mobiles.
The system comprises of a centrally mounted data logger, directly connected to a PC to observe real time data. 100 remote mounted temperature radio transmitters were
located at appropriate points in line with the temperature map.
The system is capable of monitoring up to 1 million separate temperature values at 15 minute intervals, expandable to 256 separate monitoring points. The central data logger is normally powered from the mains with an internal battery supply in event of a power outage.
We were responsible for the installation of the equipment, the location of transmitters and data logger as well as operator training in the use, setting up of the equipment, download and archiving of the data and its interpretation.
Full analysis of the information is produced as a standard, including max and min readings, average, MKT graphs and statistical data Ongoing, we provide an on-site calibration service and a full repair facility from our workshops and calibration laboratory at Head Office.
Wessex Power specialise in the application, supply and installation of turnkey, validated and Secure monitoring systems in Pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution.
We offer systems that comply with the FDA as well as the MHRA requirements. Software is Secure in accordance with the FDA CFR part 11.
