How WarmMark works
If the windows in the WarmMark Indicator stay white, there's no problem.  But if the temperature climbs beyond a certain threshold, a red color gradually moves through the windows of the WarmMark Indicator with the passage of time.  If the temperature returns to below the threshold, the color stops moving.  In this way, you can estimate how long your product was exposed above the threshold temperature

How ColdMark works
When the temperature dips below a freezing point, the clear, colourless indicator bulb changes to a violet colour. It's a clear-cut indicator of freezing - and this colour change can not be reversed. Because various products are affected at different temperatures, ColdMark Freeze Indicators are available in several different threshold temperatures

How Cryoguard works
Unactivated indicators are green. Unexpired activated indicators remain green at dry ice temperature (-78°C). Unexpired activated indicators irreversibly change from green to red when exposed to temperatures above approximately -40°C. At room temperature (approximately 20°C), activated indicators will become red within five minutes. M-40 indicators are recommended for monitoring environments below -70°C

Both WarmMark and ColdMark are accurate and will respond within ± 1ºC of their specific response temperature. When the temperature reaches the point damage to your product will result, the change indicator changes colour irreversibly

If the windows in the WarmMark indicator remain white, there's no problem. If the temperature exceeds the threshold, the indicator window changes to red with time. If the temperature returns to below the threshold, the colour stops changing. In this way, it is possible to estimate how long your product was exposed above the threshold temperature

When the temperature drops below 0ºC, the clear, colourless, indicator bulb changes to an irreversible violet colour. As different products are affected at different temperatures, ColdMark freeze indicators are available in a choice of threshold temperatures

Cryoguard™ Thermal Exposure Indicators are designed to detect thermal exposure or temperature abuse in cryopreserved materials. These thermal exposure sensors are used to monitor frozen tissue and blood products, biologicals, pharmaceuticals and frozen adhesives during shipping and storage. The indicators can also be used to detect failures or fluctuations in refrigeration or freezers
